Starting from May 25, 2018, the Regulation (EU) 679/2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and revoking Directive 95/46/EC ( General Data Protection Regulation), known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), came into effect. This means that any operator / entity processing personal data must apply these new requirements and provide transparent information on how the data is processed.
In view of the need to comply with the GDPR provisions and the fact that we are committed to taking care of your personal data (which may include name, surname, e-mail address, and the purpose of the processing) found in our database, please be informed that they are only used for the successful fulfillment of processes in relation to you (we mention some processes, without limitation to them: booking / selling / ordering, transport and delivery, customer care).
In order to improve your online browsing experience, we use cookies that make it easy for visitors to use the https://besmax.ro website. The complete list of cookies from third parties can be found below.
1. WHAT IS A ”COOKIE”?
An “Internet Cookie” (also known as “cookie browser” or “HTTP cookie” or simply “cookie”) is a small file of letters and numbers that is stored on your computer, mobile terminal or other equipment of a user accessing the Internet. The cookie is installed through a Web server request to a browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox) and is completely “passive” (does not contain software, viruses or spyware, and cannot access the information on the user’s hard drive).
A cookie consists of two parts: the name and the content or the value of the cookie. Moreover, the duration of a cookie is determined; technically, only the server that sent the cookie can access it again when a user returns to the website associated with the web server.
Cookies play an important role in facilitating the access and delivery of multiple services the user enjoys on the Internet, such as:
- Customizing certain settings such as: the language in which a website is viewed, the currency in which certain prices or tariffs are expressed, the preservation of options for different products (quantity, other details, etc.).
- Cookies provide website owners with valuable feedback on how their websites are used by users, so they can make them more efficient and accessible to users.
- Allow multimedia or other applications from other sites to be included in a specific website to create a more valuable, useful, and enjoyable browsing experience.
Cookies themselves do not require personal information to be used and, in most cases, do not personally identify Internet users.
There are two large categories of cookies:
- Session cookies – they are temporarily stored in the web browser’s cookie folder, to save them until the user exits the website or closes the browser window (e.g., when logging in / logging out from a webmail or social networking account).
- Persistent cookies – These are stored on the hard drive of a computer or device (and generally depend on the pre-set cookie life). Persistent cookies also include those placed on a website other than the one the user is currently visiting – known as “third party cookies” – which can be used anonymously to store the interests of a user, so that advertising is delivered as relevant as possible to users.
2. WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF COOKIES?
Cookies are managed by web servers. The life of a cookie may vary significantly, depending on the purpose for which it is placed. Some cookies are only used for one session (session cookies) and are no longer retained once the user has left the website and some cookies are retained and reused whenever the user returns to that website (“permanent cookies”). However, cookies can be deleted by a user at any time through the browser settings.
In general, the role of cookies is to ensure a quick and easy interaction between users and websites. Cookies are also used to allow users to easily resume their activities on the next visits of a previously visited site. Basically, cookies tell the server what are the pages to be displayed to the user, without having to remember the pages they navigated or navigate throughout the website from the beginning.
3. WHY DO WE USE COOKIES?
- To recognize new visitors on the https://besmax.ro/ website.
- To recognize past visitors.
- To better understand the interests of our customers and https://besmax.ro/ website visitors..
4. HOW ARE COOKIES USED BY THIS WEBSITE?
Session cookie
Session cookies are stored in the user’s device during the browsing session. They store an anonymous session identifier, allowing the user to visit a website without having to enter the identification information (username, password, etc.) on each page.
Such cookies are commonly used in an online store and not only. For example, when the user visits a particular page and selects certain products, the cookie retains the selected products and adds them to the shopping cart that will contain all the products selected when the user wants to leave the page.
Session cookies are stored in the device memory only during an internet browsing session and are removed when the browser is closed. They can also become inaccessible if the session has been inactive for a certain amount of time.

5. WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION IS STORED AND ACCESSED VIA COOKIES?
Cookies store information in a small text file that allows a website to recognize a browser. The web server will recognize your browser until the cookie expires or is deleted. The cookie stores important information that enhances the Internet browsing experience (e.g., user session id, referral page, time-outs, etc.).
6. WHY ARE COOKIES IMPORTANT TO THE INTERNET?
Cookies are the central focus of the Internet’s efficient operation, helping generate a friendly browsing experience, tailored to the preferences and interests of each user. Denying or disabling cookies can make some websites impossible to use. Denying or disabling cookies does not mean you will not get online advertising – just that it will no longer be able to remember your preferences and interests highlighted by your browsing behaviour.
Examples of important uses of cookies (which do not require the authentication of a user through an account):
- Content and services tailored to user preferences.
- Quotation tailored to users’ interests – language preferences (for example, displaying search results into Romanian).
- Providing more relevant advertising to the user.
- Measurement, optimization, and analytics features – such as confirming a certain level of traffic on a website, what type of content is viewed, and how a user reaches a website (for example, through search engines, directly from other websites, etc.). Websites run these analyses of their use to improve sites for the benefit of users.
7. SECURITY AND PRIVACY ISSUES?
Cookies are NOT Viruses! They use “plain text” formats. They are not made up of pieces of code, so they cannot be executed or even run. Consequently, they cannot duplicate or replicate on other networks to run or replicate again. Because they cannot perform these functions, they cannot be considered viruses. Cookies can nevertheless be used for negative purposes. Many anti-spyware products are aware of this and consistently mark cookies to be deleted in anti-virus / anti-spyware removal / scanning procedures.
Usually, browsers have built-in privacy settings that provide different levels of cookie acceptance, validity, and automatic deletion after the user has visited a particular website.
See the privacy policy.
Preserving personal data
The stored personal data will be used for the purpose of conducting contracts and processing your requests. After the completion of your contract or of your request, the data is saved, taking into account the retention periods under the tax and commercial laws and, where applicable, for the duration necessary to protect the Operator’s rights.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use our websites and apps. For example, we collect details such as the source of the visit and the total number of visitors to our website and apps. This allows us to determine the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and user activity on our sites and apps.
Find out more about the Google Analytics privacy policy here: https://support.google.com
8. HOW CAN I STOP COOKIES?
Disabling and refusing to receive cookies can make some websites unfeasible or difficult to visit and use. Also, refusing to accept cookies does not mean you will not get / see online advertising anymore.
It is possible to set the browser to disable these cookies, or you can set the browser to accept cookies from a specific site.
Some browsers have the “Do not Track” feature that allows users not to be watched while browsing. Blocking cookies or using “Do not Track” can block certain features on our websites.
All modern browsers offer the ability to change cookie settings. These settings are usually found in the browser’s “options” or “preferences” menu.
In order to understand these settings, the following links may be useful, otherwise you can use the browser’s “help” option for more details.
To learn more about enabling / disabling or deleting cookies in your browser, you can access this page: http://www.allaboutcookies.org/.
